Daily life in a Supported Independent Living home

SIL is more than a roof — it's a household where you can grow. Our team supports the rhythms of everyday life: mornings, meals, downtime and overnight care, in a home that feels like yours.

Homes that feel like home

Our SIL properties are comfortable, well-located and chosen with accessibility in mind. We match housemates thoughtfully and build a household routine that respects everyone's preferences, cultures and goals.

Skilled, consistent support workers

Our SIL teams receive specialised training in disability support, behaviour support, complex care and positive engagement. We work hard to keep teams consistent so the people supporting you know you well.

Built around your goals

Every SIL plan is built around your goals, from building life skills like cooking, budgeting and transport, through to community participation, work, study and wellness routines.

Choosing the right SIL level

SIL is funded across three support levels, lower needs, standard needs and higher needs, depending on how much support you require day-to-day. We help you and your support coordinator understand which level fits your situation, gather the right evidence, and put a strong case to the NDIA so your funding reflects the support you actually need.

Health, wellbeing and connection

Living independently is about more than tasks being done, it's about feeling well, connected and part of a community. Our SIL homes support healthy meals, regular exercise, medical and allied health appointments, and meaningful weekly routines that include social activities, hobbies and time with family.

Working with families and decision-makers

Families, guardians and support coordinators are partners in how we deliver SIL. We provide regular written progress reports, run household meetings, and welcome visits, keeping communication open and decisions transparent. Your voice always leads.
